Pre-RP

★ Seasons 1 & 2 of Glee are canon
 

★ Season 3 is where we branch off to pick and choose our plot points and create our own interpretations.

Shelby doesn’t return to Lima and Rachel hasn’t talked to her biological mother since Regionals sophomore year.

Quinn doesn’t go coo-coo bananas and lose her mind.

Rachel dates Finn all through senior year.

There is not an engagement or wedding; however, there is talk of a future together.

Rachel plans to move to New York with both Finn and Kurt and attend NYU’s Tisch (because NYADA just pisses me off); Rachel moves to New York alone.

Season 3 Faberry (the hugs and the handholds and the thoughtful advice and support) isn’t canon for the RP. High school Faberry remain sort-of friends who tolerate one another and really only interact during glee club and a few shared classes.

Quinn does not get hit by a truck.

★ Rachel begins her freshman year at NYU. She’s enrolled in Tisch’s Institute of Performing Arts majoring in Drama. She’s also working on adding enough courses for a Communication minor.
 

★ She dorms in Hayden Hall her first year, which is where Rachel meets her core group of friends including Tyler, Nancy, Dan, Erica, and Geoff.
 

★ Rachel is in a relationship with Tyler for a few months. Their relationship ends due to an argument and misunderstanding, but they are able to repair their friendship throughout the summer months before sophomore year. At the beginning of junior year, Rachel dates Tyler’s best friend, Asher, on and off.
 

★ Rachel has never once returned to Lima since she left for New York. Hiram and Leroy (The Berry Menilows) come out to visit as often as they can, and because of frequent visits, they pay the rent for Rachel’s small, 2-bedroom apartment near NYU’s campus.
 

★ Rachel has lived in this apartment since she moved out of her freshman dorm.
 

★ Rachel has always taken courses over the summer and winter breaks. Because of this, she is set to graduate a semester early. This has been her plan all along as it would allow her to fully focus on her professional career as soon as possible.
 

★ Early spring semester of sophomore year, Rachel literally runs into Quinn on a busy city sidewalk on her way to an audition. She drops her sheet music in the snow. Their interaciton is all kinds of awkward and uncomfortable.

The RP timeline

★ The week before Thanksgiving junior year, Rachel goes to donate blood at a local blood drive that just happens to be organized by Quinn. Just like their last interaction, it’s awkward and does not end well.
 

★ Rachel has a show with Tyler & Co and Quinn is in attendance. They talk and end the night exchanging phone numbers and taking a picture together. There’s a shift here, at least for Rachel.
 

★ Quinn’s drunken text messages ironically leads to Rachel having loose lips and she says some things she would normally, at least anymore, keep to herself. Being curious, Quinn brings over coffee on Black Friday to Rachel’s apartment and meets The Berry Menilows, who are visiting for the holiday. Quinn wants answers and the visit ends in a confession and tears.
 

★ Maybe the third time’s a charm? Rachel and Quinn plan to get together again. Rachel meets Quinn’s dog, Bartholomew. Rachel might have a mild obsession with Barts. And giving him nose kisses.
 

★ Rachel and Quinn flirt. A lot. And they push and test the boundaries of friendship. A lot.
 

★ After NYU’s winter showcase, Rachel goes out with friends and is sort of on a surprise date with Asher. However, she can’t stop thinking about Quinn, and ends up going to Quinn’s apartment and waiting for her to get off work. They sort of fight, and then sort of kiss.
 

★ December 18th is Rachel’s 21st birthday as well as the end of finals and mere days before Hanukkah begins. She hosts a party and everything goes wrong before it goes right.
 

★ Rachel and Quinn officially begin dating December 24 (Q asks Rach, who in turn throws her phone across the room in her excitement).
 

★ They spend the holidays (Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Year’s) together.
 

★ Rachel’s winter session ends and she prepares for yet another cattle call audition as well as Tyler’s pre-spring semester show.
 

★ Rachel and Quinn finally take that next step in their relationship.

★ Rachel receives a callback.

★ Quinn gets into Columbia for med school.
 

★ Rachel’s friendship with Tyler falters, but Erica’s there to pick up the pieces, and Quinn is her silent, white knight in shining armor.
 

★ Quinn helps check rock climbing off Rachel’s bucket list.

★ A callback turns into Rachel’s first professional role as she receives the lead in a possible Off-Broadway workshop. Quinn helps celebrate.
 

★ Quinn reveals her romantic side on Valentine’s Day and Rachel gives her some flowers with history.
 

★ With the stresses of busy semesters and jobs and volunteering and not having enough time for themselves (and Rachel forgetting to take care of herself) and each other, Rachel and Quinn bicker. And fight. And talk it out and make up. 
 

★ As midterms and Spring Break approach, Hiram and Leroy Berry are scheduled for a visit. They arrive safe and sound and Quinn comes over to for dinner and to officially meet the parents in her capacity as Rachel’s girlfriend. Everything is going splendidly until photo albums are produced and then…heartbreak.
 

★ With their relationship now on uncertain terms, Rachel leaves to spend Spring Break with her fellow cast mates in Miami as they perform select scenes from their workshop to attract donors and gauge audience reaction.
 

★ Trying to text it out when they’re thousands of miles apart does them no good, and Rachel has to watch from afar, feeling helpless, as Quinn deals with more than just a potential breakup.
 

★ Rachel makes a rash decision when she gets home from Miami that throws Quinn and makes her turn the car around when she’s halfway across the country.
 

★ Tears and fears and letting go. They’re still together.
 

★ Date nights happen as well as strolls through the park as Rachel and Quinn try and work their way back to normal.
 

★ Misunderstandings still happen as their unique, shared history makes yet another appearance in their lives.
